Society Gathering

The clergy of the Society gathered August 14–16, 2025, for the quadrennial General Chapter, a time of prayer and fraternity. Members joined together to discuss matters of ecclesiology and mission while also enjoying fellowship together.

During the Chapter, elections were held. The Very Rev. Dan Storrs, SSM, was re-elected as Vicar General. The Very Revs. Daniel Minnucci, SSM, and George Ontko, SSM, were chosen to serve as Consultors.

A highlight of the gathering was the solemn blessing of the image of the Mother of Unfailing Mercy. Copies of the holy icon were distributed among members to share in their ministries and with those they serve.

Even as the community celebrated, participants expressed sorrow for those unable to attend the Chapter. Gratefully, video conference software allowed some of our members to still participate.
